SOHAI TALPUR
The hard work definitely paids off and hard work always
does. So was in the case of SohaiTalpur.
A young, relentless and first woman from lower Sindh as a
ASP to join police services. Sohai belongs to a lower class from Talpur family from
Tando Muhammad Khan district.Sohai did her schooling from Tando Muhammad khan,
college from Bahria foundation college Hyderabad. She did her B.com from ZubaidaGirls College
and later she pursued to complete her Master’sinfrom University of Sindh.
She qualified her Central Superior Services (CSS) withastounding
success at her first attempt and was told that she would be joining police
as an assistant superintendent police (ASP) officer. Sohai’s family and particularly her father
had been his support mechanism.Sohai’s parents were really passionate about her
education and wanted her to study. Though Sohai belongs to stereotype and lower
Sindh background her father and her family moved on to nearby town to avoid the
taunting statements of her other relatives like criticism and
discouragement. Sohai not only had been
her family’s proud but she is also proud of Pakistan and proud of Sindh.
Sohai is the girl of dreams. When asked from her, what she
really wanted to become she told, that she was a big dreamer with a lot of
dreams for being an doctor, pilot, architect but ceased up to being an police
officer. This doesn’t matter from
where you are dreams are not anyone’s
property.
She advices for clearing a CSS exam one must have a focused
vision and determination towards themselves by choosing the best majors and
supporting subjects. She advises to new and upcoming CSS student to read more
and more books to explore more topic as this will be the strong grasp towards
their road to success.
She believes that it is not only the job of men to face the
challenges of the country, it is as equal right of a women to come and not be
remain limited to four walls but to stand equal with the males. They should
also come for their fundamental and initial rights.
She praised all her success to her hard work and the good
fostering of her. Sohai’s family wanted
her to be chartered accountant but she wanted to become something with social
value which made her to attempt the CSS
exam. She is the first lady officer from lower Sindh. Sohai had a good command on Sindhi language
and poetry and history which made her to achieved top marks in her exams.
She believes that today’s youth has potential to do
something if they remain committed to their studies and be sincere with
themselves and their parents because no doubt parents playmajor role behind the
success of a person as she possess.Success demands persistence, hard work,
loyalty and learning from failure and Sohai believes in all. No matter from
where you belong believe in yourself!
